Our mortgage advisers are not restricted to any particular providers, and will act solely in your best interests. You should be confident the deal they recommend will be the best available mortgage for your circumstances. Our mortgage advisers should also:

  • Explain the various mortgages available and the different types of deals
  • Advise you on how much you can afford to borrow
  • Have access to special mortgage deals that are not available on the open market
  • Help you prepare for your application to boost your chances of success
  • Be able to save you money overall by finding a mortgage with lower interest rates and fees

Remember that every unsuccessful mortgage application may harm your chances of success next time around, as each refusal will appear on your credit record. Using one of our mortgage advisers will maximise your chances of being accepted first time.

An initial meeting with a GHL Direct adviser to discuss your requirements is always at our advisers own expense and always without obligation. Our Mortgage Advisers charge according to the complexity of each individual case.

Some mortgage advisers will charge an up-front flat fee between £195 & £499, while others will take commission from the bank or lender providing the loan. Be sure to discuss fees at your first meeting with our Adviser. Ask how they are paid & what it will cost you.

If you would rather we match you with an adviser, that’s easy too. Complete the quick contact form with you name & postcode and a few details about your requirements, our head office admin team will match you with the nearest suitable adviser and pass on your details for a no obligation callback at your chosen time.

There are several ways to connect to your most suitable Mortgage broker with GHL Direct.

At this point none whatsoever. You can use our mortgage calculator to find out how much you may be able to borrow, without having to sign up, pay any fees or send any documents to us. When we move on to submitting your application to a lender, we will need supply your documents to the lender, some of these may include:

To verify your identity
  • Passports and/or driving licences
To prove your address
  • Council tax, utility bill or a bank statement dated within the last 3 months
To prove your income
  • Your latest bank statement, showing the receipt of income and outgoings
  • Your latest payslip
If you’re self-employed
  • SA302 forms for the last 1 or 2 years

If for any reason we cannot find the best Mortgage or Protection solution for your needs we will inform you of the reasons and may propose alternative products or lenders.

GHL Direct and its Mortgage & Protection advisers operate under the GDPR laws so if all else fails or you simply decide you do not want to proceed we will delete all your documents and contact details within 12 months, if however you need us to do this immediately just ask your adviser to update our admin team.
